Deskripsi TA : A modern commercial residential object in the form of a low rise apartment building, this project requires a building design solution from vacant land that can present a comfortable, quiet, and private residential space even though it is in the midst of a crowded surrounding environment. Oriented to the northeast, with the character of the land flanked by two lanes of motorized vehicles on the right and left sides, this elongated tread measuring 25×56 meters has complex problems in terms of climate, sound quality, and privacy. The application of the paradox design concept is the answer to coordinate or synergize the existence of the 2 contradictory elements contained in this project, which is the client’s desire to present a modern residential object with the environmental conditions of the surrounding site which are not conducive to supporting this desire. The principle of finding the essential essence contained in the relationship between the two contradictory elements is what makes this paradox design concept unique in its role as a medium of interpretation of the design values owned by E Studio consultant. The frontal application of the design concept itself is shown from the management of the mass formation model that is responsive to climatic conditions and the privacy of the surrounding site environment, optimizing the potential of natural elements available on the site into the design of space in the dwelling, also the uses of contextual environmentally friendly materials to support the strategy mass management that has been carried out. In addition, the use of green building design parameters cannot be separated from being used as an indicator of the results of building design so that it still has an environmentally friendly design quality that is following standards.
