Deskripsi Bisnis : CY is an interior architecture consulting company located in Solo City, Central Java. It was founded by Cynthia Abigail Yulianto in 2020. The main focus of CY is on residential , commercial, and hospitality projects. The business value of CY lies in child friendly design, which is applied in every single of its projects. We hope to implement child friendly concept everywhere out of our concern that there are still a lot of places which does not give enough attention to what children needs and wants.
Deskripsi TA : HOM is a kids and family cafe located in Solo, Central Java. The project owner, in collaboration with CY hopes to build a new food and beverages business combined with entertainment aimed toward children and families that takes child friendly design concept as its core. HOM kids and family cafe combines indoor playground and cafe into one spot. This kids and family cafe is created with the hopes of providing a fun yet comfortable environment for children and their families. The child friendly design concept is chosen as it corresponds to the target market of the kids and family cafe, which consist of families and children. This approach is primarily centered on three factors: safety, comfort, and health. The application of this child friendly design concept is implemented through several things such as material selection furniture’s shape, and color tone, all of which suppoert the three factors from the approach and the chosen theme for this cafe, namely “Calm before the Fun”.
The use of safety net around the trampoline to prevent failing accidents is an example of how to child friendly design concept is being implemented. Apart from that, the stairs are design without sharp edges and a conventional height and width as they are adjusted for both adults’ and children’s comfort. Carpet as a floor finishing material provides a comfortable feeling for children playing in playground area. Calcium silicate board is chosen for ceiling material since it does not contain asbestos which is harmful to one’s health.
